Military rally honours Kim Jong-un

North Korea's military pledge loyalty to their new supreme leader, Kim Jong-un, at a huge rally. Official video shows members of the Korean People's Army gathered at the Kumsusan Memorial Palace, led by the Chief of General Staff. (SOUNDBITE) (Korean) CHIEF OF GENERAL STAFF OF THE KOREAN PEOPLE'S ARMY RI YONG-HO, SAYING: "Dear respected Supreme Commander Kim Jong-un, the army, navy and forces of the Korean People's Army are pledging with our heart and strong determination that we will faithfully serve the leadership of the supreme commander with guns throughout our lives, as per the father general's dying wishes." Soldiers stood in strict formation as they gave their pledges. Kim Jong-un did not appear at the event. He was appointed the country's leader two days after official mourning ended for the death of his father and former leader Kim Jong-il. Travis Brecher, Reuters
