Mohamed Sanu, a wide receiver prospect from the Rutgers Scarlet Knights football program, will finally be put through workouts Sunday as the 2012 NFL Combine reaches its fifth day. Sanu, a possible first-round NFL Draft selection, will participate in receiving drills and, most importantly, run the 40-yard dash as he tries to improve his draft stock.
Since arriving on Thursday, Sanu has been poked, prodded and interviewed by NFL doctors and front-office brass during the last few days and now finally gets his chance to strut his stuff.
Meanwhile, Sanu's former teammate, defensive tackle Justin Francis (6-2, 270), a possible seventh-round selection who arrived Friday, will be going through NFLPA meetings, psychological testing and interviews.
Chandler Jones, a defensive line prospect from the Syracuse Orange football program, will be doing the same. Jones' former teammate, defensive back Phillip Thomas, will mainly undergo medical examinations all day.
Here's the 2012 NFL Combine events schedule for day five:
- QB, WR, RB: Workouts (timing, stations, skill drills)
- DL, LB: NFLPA Meeting, psychological testing, interviews
- DB: Measurements, medical examinations, media, psychological testing, interviews
Sunday's NFL.com online combine stream schedule:
